The temperature at 5:05 p.m. in Palm Coast on Monday was 79°, with temperatures in the car reaching nearly 100° after 10 minutes. If the child had been in the car for 10 minutes longer, the temperature would have reached nearly 110°.

Charlotte County, Fla – A 6-month-old baby is in a St. Petersburg hospital and a family is thankful after a deputy saved the child from a deadly crash. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office said a motorcyclist was going more than 100 mph when he crashed into a car with a mother and two little girls’ inside. The motorcyclist died. “As I started removing her, she starts saying: ‘no, my other baby, my other baby.’ I didn’t see a baby to begin with, but then I looked underneath a motorcycle helmet and a body, and I saw another baby underneath,” he said. Musgrove performed CPR until EMS arrived and he felt Lola take a breath.

A scuba diver left adrift 6 miles off the Florida Keys was found by accident when two off-duty cops mistook him for an injured seabird. Turns out the “bird” they saw a quarter of a mile away was a human, desperately waving his arms, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office reported. The rescued diver’s name was not released, but his rescuers were identified as Lt. David Woolf and Lt. Eric Thoresen of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. The two men and their wives were fishing when the rescue happened.

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A deputy helped save the life of a driver on Interstate 95 after discovering the man unresponsive in his truck, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office. In a news release, deputies said that Sgt. Brian Walsh was southbound on Interstate 95 near Oak Hill just after 6 p.m. on Wednesday when he witnessed a dump truck running off the road and hitting the guardrail. Deputies said Sgt. Walsh pulled the driver out of the truck and performed CPR until paramedics arrived and took over rescue efforts.

"I felt great, but when the baby started crying, I started crying too because it was the best cry I've ever had in my life," Clervil said. "It felt good knowing that, you know, although it was a bad day for all of us involved, but it turned out to be a great day at the end."

Video from the Sheriff’s helicopter showed Frankie had wandered into a thick wooded area about 50 or 60 yards from the house. His dog, Rufus, was with him.




FLORIDA K-9 FINDS 76-YEAR-OLD WOMAN LOST IN WOODS

(WSVN) - A Florida K-9 and his handler are being praised for helping locate a missing 76-year-old woman after 20 hours of searching. Marie Ginette Saint Hubert reportedly went missing and a search was launched to find her, according to the North Port Police Department. Crews searched for hours by air and ground trying to locate the woman. After the tiring search, the police department announced that the woman was found by Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Steven Sella and K-9 Copper. She was found in thick brush in the woods.




TAMPA OFFICERS RESCUE BABY FROM ABANDONED STOLEN CAR

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The Tampa Police Department released body camera footage from an Aug. 5, 2022 incident where a baby was found inside an abandoned stolen car. Officers responded to an apartment complex on Siesta Court after a woman reported her car was stolen with her 11-month-old daughter inside. Body camera footage shows officers hopping a chain link fence to reach the car, which was turned off and sitting in the sun. Medical staff told Tampa police the baby would have died if left inside the car for much longer. She made a full recovery from the incident.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said, police officers responded to a report of an infant drowning on the west side of Jacksonville. Without hesitation, the sheriff's office said Sanderson entered the pond to save the child's life even though she did not know how to swim herself.

Deputy Bill Weaver, a school resource officer, quickly rushes to the mother's aid. The video shows Weaver taking the child and proceeding to give it back thrusts and chest compressions, the infant begins breathing and its life is saved.

Martin County Sheriff's Office Deputies Buddy Sprott and Dan Hill pulled the unresponsive boater out from the cabin moments before it collapsed. Deputies said the flames from the burning vessel were so hot that they melted part of the sheriff's office boat.

(WJHG/WECP) - Two Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Deputies are being treated at a local hospital for smoke inhalation after they saved an autistic child from a burning home, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page. The sheriff’s office got the call of a home that caught fire on Whispering Oaks Lane near Fort Walton Beach Wednesday afternoon. Deputies went into the home and found the child on the second floor in a bedroom. They were able to bring him out to safety.
